About Carpe Imperium...

Carpe Imperium is an Unreal Tournament clan which was formed on March 4th 2000. The idea to form the clan came from a desire by some members of BuF (BeyondUnreal Forumers) to play competitively. BuF exists as a community and although it plays friendlies (e.g. against other clans), it's not a clan.

The name is Latin and means "Seize the Power". Credit for the name goes to LordKhaine, one of Ci's founders.

Ci takes part in a number of leagues and ladders around the world. Being split into two different geographical groups (although still one clan) makes this easier. This doesn't mean that we don't all get together every once in a while. The Saturday Rally, started by Bushwacker and SU3000, continues to this day and has become a Ci tradition in which ACi teams up against ECi for pride, bragging rights and the whale. (Don't ask!)

The clan is friendly and outgoing, and not some "l33ter than thou" clan with their heads stuck up their arses. Sportsmanship is a major part of being a Ci member, and without it you don't get in.
